Guitarist Jimmy Jenkins has left The Veda Rays due to personal circumstances. It was a pretty good run. We wish him success with any and all future endeavors, creative or otherwise. Here is a scene from happier times -- a nice afternoon we spent killing some time around Austin, TX this past March.

We are finishing up some last minute stuff for our in-between-albums EP which we are projecting will be out around late March/ early April of the new year. This little collection of reflective tracks will reveal deeper and more subtle nuances of the band.The EP will include the song Time Is A Vise which features a guest appearance by the inimitable Julee Cruise. Look out for the early release of our forthcoming track Old Long Since Now (our sort of Auld Lang Syne) right around the end of December...it will be given away through our site and possibly through a few other select media sources.

Joe Lambert has mastered such great records as Deerhunter's recent Halcyon Digest as well as their former Microcastle, Animal Collective's Fall Be Kind EP, and Dean & Britta's 13 Most Beautiful, as well as other great records by The Cloud Nothings, The National, The Dirty Projectors & Bjork, Avey Tare and so many more. We are very happy to report that Joe is mastering The Veda Rays 1st album Gamma Rays Galaxy Rays Veda Rays.
